The Gordon & Macphail Private Collection Banff 46 years old 1975 is an old Speyside single malt from the closed Banff distillery bottled bottled in the Private Collection series (and also The Recollection Series) by the independent bottler Gordon & Macphail. This Banff was distilled on the 4^th of December 1975 and matured in refill American hogshead 3623. It was bottled on the 14^th of December 2021 at natural cask strength of 48,6% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release of 102 bottles. This bottle is packaged in a brown wood case with a herringbone pattern.

Official tasting notes:

Nose: Dried banana aromas combine with candied lime peel and soft black liquorice. Vanilla custard notes give way to white pepper and subtle green apple.

Palate: Fresh lemon zest is accompanied by faint marzipan and honeydew melon. Fresh cut grass notes develop with a hint of spiced orange.

Finish: Medium-bodied finish with citrus fruit and soft spice.
