Ballindalloch 2016 Single Cask Bourbon Barrel 31 Bottled Exclusively for the Benelux (59,2%)

The Ballindalloch 2016 Single Cask Bourbon Barrel 31 Bottled Exclusively for the Benelux is a Speyside single malt from the Ballindalloch distillery. Since 2014 the Macperson-Grant distills whisky at Ballindalloch Estate. Single Estate single malt which means all the barley comes from their own estate. This is a Benelux exclusive which was distilled on the 21^st of January 2016. It matured in bourbon barrel 31 and got bottled on the 30^th of January 2024  at natural cask strength of 59,2% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited edition single cask release.

Nose: a combination of apple and all spice with wine gums, candle wax, wild heather flowers followed by nutmeg, sea salt, peach and fresh vanilla. With some water more fruit and nougat aromas appear but also oak and worn leather

Palate: rich with lots of fresh orchard fruit aromas, green mango, caramel, white chocolate, pineapple, pine needles and oak spices

Finish: impressive without being sharp/burning. Layers of flavours in a long and gentle finish
