Vital Spark 10yo Batch 4 (53,5%)

The Vital Spark 10 years old Batch 4 is a peated single malt from an undisclosed distillery bottled by the independent bottler The Maltman (Meadowside Blending). This is the fourth releases in this series of small batch peated single malts. Batch 4 matured in a refill sherry butt and was bottled in 2020 at natural cask strength of 53,5% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. This is a limited single cask release.

Nose: red fruit, leather, peat smoke, tarred rope, medicinal, salty liquorice and black pepper

Palate: vanilla cookies with white fruit, smoke and peat with soot and pepper

Finish: long and warming but also surprisingly fresh
