The Maltman Caol Ila 14yo 2006 (51,9%)

The Maltman Caol Ila 14 years old 2006 is an Islay single malt from the Caol Ila distillery bottled by the independent bottler The Maltman (Meadowside Blending). This Caol Ila was distilled in April 2006 and matured in refill hogshead 303194. It was bottled in August 2020 at natural cask strength of 51,9% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release of 312 bottles.

Nose: peat smoke followed by Lysol with a fresh sea breeze and vanilla cream

Palate: vanilla pods with lemon and lime, heavily toasted oak and white spices

Finish: ginger and warming black pepper aromas
