The Lost Distillery Company Dalaruan Vintage Collection Batch 2

The Lost Distillery Company Dalaruan Vintage Collection Batch 2 is a blended malt malt that comes close to the single malts from the Dalaruan distillery over 100 years ago. The Lost Distillery Company started in 2013 with reproducing this lost malts. This is a vintage version between 18 and 25 years old bottled in the 2nd batch.

The Dalaruan Distillery was founded in 1825 by Charless Colvill and was located in in Argyll and Bute (Campbeltown). After 100 years it was forced to close in 1925 due to the drop in whisky trade from Campbeltown. The name comes form the Dalradia empride that was founded shortly after the breakup of the Romanian empire.

Nose: exotic with dried fruit, Manuka honey, wood smoke and pepper

Palate: rich and oily with salted vanilla fudge, fruit, roasted almonds and spices with a trace of smoke

Finish: long with a hint of smoke.
