The Lost Distillery Company Dalaruan is a blended malt and a replica of the Dalaruan single malt that was distilled over 100 years ago. In 2013 The Lost Distillery Company started reproducing whisky's of long lost distilleries.
The Dalaruan Distillery was founded in 1825 by Charless Colvill and was located in in Argyll and Bute (Campbeltown). After 100 years it was forced to close in 1925 due to the drop in whisky trade from Campbeltown. The name comes form the Dalradia empride that was founded shortly after the breakup of the Romanian empire.
This Dalaruan was bottled in the Archivist Collection series containing malts of 15 to 18 years old bottled at 43% ABV. The flavor profile is similar to a Springbank release.
