The Creative Whisky Company Exclusive Malts Croftengea ‘Loch Lomond’ 10 years old 2006 is a Highlands single malt bottled by the independent bottler The Creative Whisky Company in their Exclusive Malts series. The Croftengea is a heavily peated Loch Lomond. Due to the structure of the stills the lyne arms can be shortened and stretch. Together with a heavily peated barley this results in a heavy and heavily peated single malt. It was distilled on the 22nd of March 2006 and matured in bourbon cask no. 485 It was bottled in April 2016 at natural cask strength of 56,7% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. A limited single cask release of 302 bottles.
Nose: salted pretzels, grass and cow skin
Palate: pretty light with white spices, warm ginger and lingering smoke together with bay leaf liquorice
Finish: medium long with lingering smoke
