The Fiona Macleod 33 years old is an Islay single malt from an undisclosed distillery bottled by the independent bottler The Character of Islay Whisky Company. A rich and smoky single malt with some influences of tropical fruit. This Islay single malt was named after the pen used by the 19th century Scottish writer and poet William Sharp. It is bottled at 46,3% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour.
Nose: ripe tropical fruit with grilled bananas, smoky vanilla and peat
Palate: salty iodine with aromas of smoky damp wood, sweet mango’s, candied ginger, brine, citrus and dried fruit
Finish: sweet wat barley sugar, dried pineapple and a bonfire
