The That Boutique-y Whisky Company Mortlach 20 years old Batch 5 is a 20 year old Speyside single malt from the Mortlach distillery. This fifth batch is 20 years old and a limited single cask release of 342 bottles. Bottled in 2018 at natural cask strength of 48,8% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour.

Nose: Melting butter, crushed almond and a little sugar dusted pastry rise through wafts of light oak and vanilla-y malt.

Palate: Rich sherried notes bring depth among earthy vanilla pod and stewed pear. Succulent toffee sweetness develops with tropical fruit and brown sugar in support.

Finish: Red chilli flakes and rye add spice and warmth.
