North Star Tormore 27yo 1988 (51,5%)

The North Star Tormore 27 years old is an old Speyside single malt bottled by the independent bottler North Star Spirits. A release from the Cask Series 001 distilled in December 1988 and matured in a bourbon hogshead followed by a Madeira cask finish. It was bottled in October 2016 at natural cask strength of 51,5% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. A limited single cask release of 200 bottles.

Nose: lemongrass, vanilla and honey syrup and warm cake

Palate: raisins with brown sugar, oak and warm winter spices

Finish: like a dessert wine with chocolate and oranges
