North Star The Islay Star 9yo CA004 (50%)

The North Star The Islay Star 9 years old CA004 is a young Islay single malt from the Caol Ila distillery bottled in the Millennial Range by the independent bottler North Star. This Caol Ila matured in a refill hogshead for 9 years before it was bottled in 2019 at 50% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release of 300 bottles.

Nose: spices with sweetness, peat, fresh menthol and sea salt

Palate: apple pie with vanilla cream, more menthol and salted fish

Finish: clear with later on some salty influences
