The Infrequent Flyers Blair Athol 14 years old 2006 is a Speyside single malt from the Blair Athol distillery bottled by the independent bottler Infrequent Flyers (Alistair Walker Whisky Company). This Speysider was bottled in the fourth batch and is release No. 25. It was distilled in 2006 and matured in a bourbon cask followed by a finish in Sauternes hogshead 6132. This Blair Athol was bottled in August 2020 at natural cask strength of 50,6% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release of 281 bottles.
Nose: Toffee apple and dried apricot alongside prune sweetness.
Palate: Intensely honeyed, with syrup sweetness overlaying crisp orchard fruit and bittersweet citrus, supported by plump sultana.
Finish: Cinnamon sugar lingers.
