Hepburn’s Choice 9yo Nice ‘N Peaty 2006

The Hepburn’s Choice 9 years old Nice ‘N Peaty 2006 is an Islay single malt bottled in the Hepburn’s Choice series of the independent bottler Hunter Laing. It was distilled in 2006 and matured in a refill hogshead. It is in fact a Lagavulin bottled in 2016 at 46% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour.

Nose: peat smoke, ground barley, dried barley, lemon and lime

Palate: green apple, sugar, burning wood, oil, smoke and a medicinal influence

Finish: oil and light smoke
