This 21 years old Ardbeg was bottled in the Old Particular series of independent bottler Douglas Laing. An extremely rare and unique Ardbeg Islay single malt. A single cask release of 232 bottles distilled in October 1992 and matured in a refill hogshead cask. Bottled in October 2013 at 48,6% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour.
Nose: typical Islay aromas of seaweed, beaches, saltiness and a hint of peat and fruit
Palate: full-bodied and rounded with dry peat aromas, gentle peach liqueur and honey followed by pepper, ash, smoke and cough syrup
Finish: long with lemon, smoke, oil, charcoal and a hint of salt with some caramel
