Cooper’s Choice Ardmore 8yo 2011 Sauternes Cask Finish (51,5%)

The Cooper’s Choice Ardmore 8 years old 2011 Sauternes Cask Finish is a younger peated Highlands single malt from the Ardmore distillery bottled by the independent bottler Cooper’s Choice (Vintage Malt Whisky Company). This Ardmore was distilled in July 2011 and matured in a bourbon cask followed by a finish in sauternes cask 335. This 8 year old release was bottled in 2020 at natural cask strength of 51,5% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. This is a limited single cask release of 330 bottles.

Nose: sweet peat smoke, apricots and honey

Palate: peat ash, tropical fruit with malt, lemon and smoke

Finish: very long with aromas of ash, peat and a little sweetness
