The Compass Box The Circle is an ode to the bartending program of Compass Box, called The Circle. It was founded in 2018 by John Glaser to combine the creative processes of blending and cocktail making. The first year consisted of a small competition won by bartender Rosey Mitchell of The Three Streets in London. The prize? Blending a new Compass Box release called The Circle.
The Circle is a blended malt made from Tamdhu (78,8%) from bourbon barrels, of course a healthy dose of Clynelish (14,8%) from refill sherry butts, an Orkney single malt from an undisclosed distillery(4,9%) from recharred hogsheads and last but not least a small part Highlands blended malt (1,5%) finished in French oak casks.
a light and refreshinf blended malt with light peat aromas from the Orkney. The Tamdhu adds fruit and creaminess, light sherry influences from the Clynelish and aromas of apple, vanilla and malt from the Highlands blend.
The Circle is a limited release of 6.151 bottles bottled at 46%.
