Compass Box Peat Monster (old bottling)

The Compass Box Peat Monster is a peated blended malt whisky by the independent bottler Compass Box. 12 to 17 years old malt whisky’s from Ardmore bring the right balance and rich and subtle sweetness while 10 years old Caol Ila brings smoky and malty notes.  Together these whisky’s have matured for several months before being bottled at 46% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. This is an old bottling that was replaced by a new variant (both in taste and packaging) in 2019.

Nose: very aromatic with fruit, spices and sea breezes

Palate: full-bodied and rich with smoked bacon aromas, peat, malt, fruit and spices

Finish: long with all smoky and malty aromas from the nose and palate
