Compass Box Peat Monster

The Compass Box Peat Monster is peated blended malt bottled by the independent bottler Compass Box. This version of the Peat Monster consists of:

• 64% Caol Ila from a refill hogshead
• 35% Laphroaig from a refill hogshead
• 1% Highland blended malt from French oak barrels with a heavy toast

These casks have been married for a couple of months before being bottled at 46% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour.

Nose: sea breeze with medicinal peat, smoke and fruit

Palate: fruity and nicely peated with medicinal influences from the Laphroaig, dry smoke from the Caol Ila and a hint of grilled meat

Finish: medium long and smoky
