The Claxton’s Glen Garioch 8 years old 2011 is a young Highlands single malt from the Glen Garioch distillery bottled by the independent bottler Claxton’s. This Glen Garioch was distilled on the 4th of October 2011 and matured in ruby port cask 2090-2709a. It was bottled in 2020 at natural cask strength of 55,1% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release of 184 bottles.
Nose: fresh grapefruit and spiced dark tea with mint, honey and sweet spices
Palate: Oriental spices with blueberries, honey, tea bitters and some port notes
Finish: toffee, light mint aromas, Oriental tea and slightly drying
