Claxton’s Exploration Series Macduff 10yo 2011 (50%)

The Claxton’s Exploration Series Macduff 10 years old 2011 is a Highlands single malt from the Macduff distillery bottled in the Explorations Series by the independent bottler Claxton’s. This Macduff was distilled on the 3^rd of October 2011 and matured in a fresh sherry hogshead. It was bottled on the 4^th of October 2021 at 50% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release.

Nose: powerful sherry aromas, rich and spicy chocolate notes, sweet liquorice, cloves and espresso

Palate: mocha, dark chocolate, sticky toffee pudding, black pepper, espresso and mouthcoating

Finish: again espresso and dark chocolate in a long finish with sweet spices
