Claxton’s Exploration Series Islay Blended Malt 8yo 2012 (50%)

The Claxton’s Exploration Series Islay Blended Malt 8 years old 2012 is an Islay blended malt from an undisclosed Beam-Suntory distillery on the island bottled in the Exploration Series by the independent bottler Claxton’s. This Islay release was distilled on the 20^th of August 2012 and matured in a refill sherry butt. It was bottled on the 15^th of October 2020 at 50% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release.

Nose: light yellow fruit, sweet medicinal smoke and pretty elegant

Palate: elegant, sweet and yellow fruity aromas with peat smoke, very subtle and delicate
