The Claxton’s Exploration Series Highland Malt 10 years old 2010 is a Highlands single malt from an undisclosed distillery, in the Northern part of the Highlands, owned by Diageo, bottled in the Exploration Series by the independent bottler Claxton’s. This Highlands release was distilled on the 28th of July 2010 and matured for 10 years in a Tawny port butt. It was bottled on the 14th of October 2020 at 50% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release.
Nose: pralines, dark fruit, stewed pears, rhubarb and waxy
Palate: rich, sweet, ,salty and waxy with dried red fruit, rhubarb and ripe strawberries
Finish: long, sweet, spices and flambeed red fruit
