Claxton’s Aberlour 28yo 1992 (48,5%)

The Claxton’s Aberlour 28 year sold 1992 is an older Speyside single malt from the Aberlour distillery bottled by the independent bottler Claxton’s. This Aberlour was distilled on the 18^th of June 1992 and matured in bourbon barrel 2093-3037. It was bottled in 2020 at natural cask strength of 48,5% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release of 186 bottles.

Nose: rich and complex with delicate chocolate and hazelnut liqueur aromas and soft yellow and overripe fruit

Palate: complex and subtle with rich vanilla cream, molten fudge, toffee and vanilla ice with fresh yellow fruit and overripe bananas

Finish: cocoa, hazelnut and some sweet liquorice with vanilla cream. Very elegant and like an old whisky should be
