Wolfburn Northland

The Wolfburn Northland is the 1st and 3rd single malt of this distillery. It’s the renewed version of the first release, the Single Malt. That was the first Wolfburn release since over 150 years from the recently rebuild Wolfburn distillery. This Northland single malt is unpeated and matured in former Islay quarter casks. It was bottled in January 2016 at 46% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. A limited release of 62.000 bottles.

Nose: fresh with white asparagus, green apple and freshly pressed magazines

Palate: unexpected light smoky notes with grass, tobacco, a hint of pepper, soot, prunes and slightly oily

Finish: pretty fresh with almonds and grapefruit
