Mackmyra Gruvguld

The Mackmyra Gruvguld, which literally means gold from the mine, is a Swedish single malt from the Mackmyra distillery. This Mackmyra matured in small casks of 30, 100 and 128 liter in the Bodas mine, 50 meters under the ground. The 30 liter casks are the base of most Mackmyra whisky’s. In this case also peated casks and ex Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks have been used. The Gruvguld was bottled at 46,1% ABV.

Nose: spices, ginger, coriander, oak, vanilla fudge, marzipan and citrus

Palate: spicy with tobacco leaves, blueberries, pears and oranges

Finish: long and spicy
