High Coast Älv – Delicate Vanilla (48%)

The High Coast Älv – Delicate Vanilla Smoke is a Swedish single malt from the High Coast distillery (formerly known as Box). The Älv, which means river in Swedish, is named after the river Ångermanälven nex to the distillery and was bottled in the High Coast Origin’s series. It matured in first fill bourbon casks for about 6 years and was bottled in 2016 at 46% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited release of 8529 bottles.

Nose: vanilla, coconut and sponge cake

Palate: sweet vanilla, ripe pears and apple

Finish: long and sweet vanilla aromas
