Kavalan Podium

The Kavalan Podium is a Taiwanese single malt matured in new American oak casks and refill Kavalan casks. An unusual mix of virgin oak and refill casks resulting in notes of vanilla, honey, caramel and coconut.

Nose: spices and a hint of tar followed by basil, Thai salad, sweet grapes and some tropical fruit

Palate: unripe/green tropical fruit with a light acidity that’s slowly drying followed by juicy passion fruit, citrus, cocoa and star anise

Finish: lingering with vanilla, buttery notes, dried coconut, oak and spices with a whiff of pepper
