The Exceptional Blend First Edition

The Exceptional Blend First Edition is a blended Scotch bottled by Sutcliffe & Son. The malts in this blend come from Glenfarclas, Ben Nevis, Auchroisk, Macallan, GlenAllachie and Speyside distillery as well as that a Westport (teaspooned Glenmorangie) is included. The grains come from North British, Strathclyde and Camberonbridge. These are blended and finished in first fill Oloroso sherry casks before being bottled in 2016 at 43% ABV.

Nose: nutty Oloroso sherry with marmalade, caramel, sage, parsley, toffee and grain

Palate: light toffee and caramel aromas with honey, white pepper and red fruit

Finish: scones with butter and red fruit
