The Rare Cask Reserves 21 years old Ordha is an old blend by William Grant & Sons especially made for the Dutch market. The first in a series of four that will be released yearly starting in October 2015. Brian Kinsman, master blender, got access to the private stocks of the Grant family and selected several casks for this Ordha batch Wf01/04. A richly sherried blend and limited release of 4900 bottles bottled at 47,4% ABV.
Nose: freshly sawn oak with a layer of fresh vanilla, soft fruit and a hint of spices
Palate: full-bodied with soft and creamy toffee balanced with intense notes of oak, tannins and a hint of caramelized apple
Finish: lingering with dry oak notes
