Johnnie Walker 10yo Select Casks Rye

The Johnnie Walker 10 years old Select Casks is a series of limited edition blens with a finish. This Johnnie Walker is at least 10 yeaars old and was finished in rye casks. It is the first release in this series and initially matured in first fill American oak casks for 10 years. That was followed by  a 6 months finish in former rye casks before being bottled at 46% ABV.

Nose: burned marshmallow, caramel, roasted grains and some medicinal influences

Palate: heavily toasted with wood spices, grains, light smoke, peat and the sweetness of raisins, cinnamon breads and molasses

Finish: medium long
