The Xtra Old Particular Mortlach 30 years old 1989 is an older Speyside single malt from the Mortlach distillery bottled in the Xtra Old Particular Series by the independent bottler Douglas Laing. This Mortlach was distilled in April 1989 and matured in refill sherry hogshead DL13722. It was bottled in November 2019 at natural cask strength of 52,4% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release of 210 bottles.
Nose: big, meaty and malted with marmalade, cereals and spices
Palate: spice laden with tingling sugars on the tongue, molasses and home baked pastries
Finish: medium long with fudge notes
