Xtra Old Particular Glenrothes 25yo 1990 (56,6%)

The Xtra Old Particular Glenrothes 25 years old 1990 is a heavy sherried Speyside single malt botled in Extra Old Particular series by the independent bottler Douglas Laing. Distilled in June 1990 and matured in sherry butt DL10784. Bottled in June 2015 at natural cask strength of 56,6% ABV< non chill filtered and with no added colour. A limited single cask release of 285 bottles.

Nose: compact spices which warm to dried fruit, cedar, barley, ginger and smoke

Palate: still gingery and peppery spiced with dark sugar, liquorice and more fruit

Finish: buttery and spices with honey, fruit, malt and light smoke
