Xtra Old Particular Braes of Glenlivet 25yo 1994 (50,6%)

The Xtra Old Particular Breas of Glenlivet 25 years old is a Speyside single malt from the Breas of Glenlivet distillery bottled in the Xtra Old Particular series by the independent bottler Douglas Laing. This Braes of Glenlivet was distilled in December 1994 and matured in refill barrel DL13719. It was bottled in December 2018 at natural cask strength of 50,6% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release of 188 bottles.

Nose: sweet and citric, nicely spiced with a barley and bourbon vanilla backdrop

Palate: more barrel influences with vanilla pod and mocha aromas, spun candy and molasses

Finish: dark yet sweet spices, barley sugar and butterscotch
