Xtra Old Particular Black Series Macallan 30yo 1989 (46%)

The Xtra Old Particular Black Series Macallan 30 years old 1989 is an older Speyside single malt from The Macallan distillery bottled in the Xtra Old Particular series by the independent bottler Douglas Laing. This Macallan was distilled in May 1989 and and matured in refill hogshead DL15636. It was bottled in October 2019 at natural cask strength of 46% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. This is a limited single cask release of 230 bottles.

Nose: malted barley with malt sugars, citrus, ripe grapes and vanilla

Palate: spicy and oily with marzipan, cane sugar, spicy oak aromas with pepper and nutmeg

Finish: long and warm with sweet oak aromas, vanilla and fruit
