GlenAllachie Virgin Oak Series 12yo French Oak Finish

The GlenAllachie Virgin Oak Series 12 years old French Oak Finish is a Speyside single malt from the GlenAllachie distillery and one of the three releases in the Virgin Oak Series. This GlenAllachie first matured in American oak (Quercus Alba) ex bourbon barrels followed by a finish in selected French oak virgin casks. These Quercus Robur casks come from the Haute-Garonne region. The wood was air dried for 15 months before being used as a cask.

Nose: honey, toffee, mocha, orange zest and nutmeg

Palate: honey, toffee, butterscotch, mocha, cinnamon, grapefruit and earthy tannins

Finish: medium long and spiced
