The Cadenhead Small Batch Strathclyde 28 years old 1989 is an older Lowland single grain bottled by the independent bottler Cadenhead. This Strathclyde was distilled in 1989 and matured in two bourbon barrels. It was bottled in 2018 at natural cask strength of 55,8% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. A limited double cask release of 390 bottles.
Nose: vanilla pods with earthy aromas, cream cheese and butterscotch
Palate: hard candy with biscuits, honey cereals, nuts and chocolate
Finish: shortbreads with vanilla ice and fruit candy
