The Old Particular Probably Orkney’s Finest 12 years old 2007 is an Orkney single malt from an undisclosed distillery bottled in the Old Particular series by the independent bottler Douglas Laing. This Orkney single malt was distilled in October 2007 and matured in refill hogshead DL13781. It was bottled in December 2019 at 48,4% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release of 371 bottles.
Nose: a vanilla character coupled with brown sugar, sea spray and buttery popcorn
Palate: a gentle smokiness alongside melted butter, black pepper and fresh ginger
Finish: deliciously long with baking spice, oak char, an earthy style with heathery smoke
