The Highland Park Dragon Legend is a higher peated Orkney single malt in comparison to the Highland Park 12 years old. It got it’s name from the Viking warrior Sigurd who not only defeated dragon Fafnir but also drunk his blood. It brought him the title Dragon Legend. As a whisky this Highland Park is bottled at 43,1% ABV.
Nose: sweet and peated with honey, salted caramel and dried fruit with some ash, smoke and citrus
Palate: rich fruity aromas and heathery smoke with damp hay aromas and spices
Finish: medium long and with a good balance between the sweetness and oaky bitterness
