Highland Park 18yo (2005 bottling)

This 18 years Highland Park is from around 2005 and is one of the last bottles before the whole core range was redesigned in 2006 and 2007. A slightly medicinal Orkney single malt with rich notes of spices and some silkiness.

Nose: raw rhubarb  followed by more fruit

Palate: light barley notes and a sweet and gentle start followed by robust peat and a few seconds later also slightly medicinal notes

Finish: long with a pleasant mouth feeling and again something medicinal
