The Old Particular Octomore 8 years old 2011 is a young Islay single malt from Bruichladdich bottled by the independent bottler Douglas Laing. This Octomore was distilled in May 2011 and matured in refill bourbon barrel DL13327. It was bottled in May 2019 at 48,4% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. This is a limited single cask release of 330 bottles.
Nose: maritime with dried seaweed and sweet smoke
Palate: earthy with a hint of soot, burnt sugar and black pepper
Finish: long and leathery with dried fruit, toasted oak and some peat
