Bowmore 18yo (old bottling)

The Bowmore 18 years old is one of the oldest core range releases of the Bowmore distillery. This Islay single malt has matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks resulting in a rich whisky with peat and smoke combined with delicate notes of e.g. heather, autumn leaves and citrus. First released in January 2007 to replace the discontinued 17yo. This is an old bottling/label that was on the market until +/- early 2018.

Nose: creamy with notes of autumn leaves, heather, campfire, caramel, toffee, soft fruit and smoke

Palate: subtle and delicate with aromas of chocolate, salty notes, soft citrus and smoke

Finish: long and complex with smoke, floral notes, toffee, soft fruit and chocolate
