Ardbeg Wee Beastie

Ardbeg created a 'monster', the Wee Beastie Guaranteed 5 years old. A new addition to the range per April 2020. A younger Islay single malt which is said to be a 'Monster of a dram'. Wild, a bit mischievous or hard to control. It aged for at least 5 years in a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks and was bottled at 47,4% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour.

Nose: Very fresh, herbs with aromas of vanilla, peat, fresh black pepper, Turkish coffee, pine resion and honey glazed ham. wWith some water more herbal aromas like vetiver along with aniseed, fennel, green apple and leather pop up 

Palate: Rich and explosive with lots of chocolate, tar, creosote and smoked bacon with antiseptic lozenges, aniseed and eucalyptus​

​Finish: A long, salty and mouthcoating finish with aromas of cocoa, fudge and savoury meats
