The Arran Amarone Cask Finish (50%)

The Arran Amarone Cask Finish is an Isle of Arran single malt which has been finishd in Amarone wine casks. This wine, partially made from dried Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes, is a dry red wine. This casks come from a traditional Italian winery. The whisky is bottled with no age statement and at 50% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour.

Colour: red copper

Nose: aromas of poached pears and honey followed by roasted almonds and subtle cranberries. With some water more hints of coffee and aromas of chocolate, orange and soft butterscotch

Palate: dark chocolate, fruit (cherries) and Turkish delight with stewed fruit and toffee with hints of plums, bittersweet apricots and a hint of cinnamon

Finish: long and pleasant, well-balanced combination of Arran finesse and aromas of fruit and oak brought by the Amarone casks
