Talisker Port Ruighe (45,8%)

The Talisker Port Ruighe (portree) is the second no age statement single malt release by Talisker after the Storm. The Storm was a bith youthful while the Port Ruighe is more mature and ripe. It has matured in a mix of American and European oak refill casks as well as some heavily toasted casks. This Isley of Skye whisky is finished in port casks adding notes of ripe fruit and caramel to the well-known salty and smoky Talisker aromas.

Nose: maritime followed by complex notes of oranges, white chocolate and plums

Palate: sweet brine followed by oranges and chocolate, pepper and returning smokiness

Finish: complex with chocolate, oak and mocha
