The Isle of Jura Tastival 2017 is the fourth Tastival release to celebrate the Jura Festival with which the island tries to do the same as Feis Ile on Islay. This release matured in first fill bourbon barrels followed by a finish in Graham’s port piptes. Just like in other years it was bottled at 51% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. It is also the first Tastival release by the new distillery manager Graham Logan who succeeds the retired willich Cochrane.
Nose: dark berries, light liquorice aromas, prunes and creamy white chocolate
Palate: orange zest, walnut cake and candied pineapple
Finish: medium long with nuts and fruit syrup
