Xtra Old Particular Clynelish 21yo 1997 (54,7%)

The Xtra Old Particular Clynelish 21 years old 1997 is a Highlands single malt from the Clynelish distillery bottled in the Xtra Old Particular series by the independent bottler Douglas Laing. This Clynelish was distilled in April 1997 and matured in refill hogshead DL12781. It was bottled in August 2018 at natural cask strength of 54,7% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. This is a limited single cask release of 309 bottles.

Nose: buttery and sweet with cream, cereals, coconut cream and shortbreads

Palate: thick and rich with aromas of malted barley, allspices, warm pastries, stewed apples and mandarins

Finish: poached pear and mint with creamy oak aromas
