The Tomatin Cu Bocan Bourbon Cask is the last release in the Cu Bocan trilogy and the successor of the Sherry Cask (2014) and Virgin Oak (2015). With this release the three components of the ‘standard’ Cu Bocan are also available as a single release. Just like the other two the Cu Bocan is lightly peated with 15 PPM and a limited release of 6000 bottles. Bottled at 46% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour.
Nose: toffee and honey and at the back some slowly developing smoke resulting in notes of pineapple and pear drops followed by rich and creamy vanilla custard
Palate: creamy and soft coconut and vanilla followed by marshmallows in milk chocolate, almonds, toffee and citrus fruit (mostly oranges and lemon)
Finish: long, lingering and sweet
