The Dalmore 15 years old Highland single malt comes from Alness. The name Dalmore comes from the Gaelic language and means "the big meadowland". This refers to Black Isle that lies in front of the distillery. This 15 years old release has fully matured in ex-sherry casks that used to contain sherry's like Metusalem, Apostoles and Amaroso from Jerez de la Frontera. The result is a spicy Dalmore with beautiful sherry aromas.
Nose: pleasantly sweet with toffee, vanilla and sherry with some orange notes and spices like nutmeg, pepper and ginger
Palate: pleasant aromas from the wood, vanilla and full-bodied citrus aromas, a good balance between drying spices and gingery nuttiness
Palate: long with spices like vanilla, Seville oranges, nuts and sherry
