Ben Nevis Celebrated Malt

The Ben Nevis Celebrated Malt is a copy of Ben Nevis malt s from around 1882 where they were peated. Distillery manager Colin Ross has searched for the ultimate replica and then produced this malt. A lightly peated Highlands single malt with about 30 ppm solely matured in sherry casks. A relatively young whisky  bottled at 46% ABV.

Nose: butter, smoke, smoked haddock, a hint of chili, sherry and subtle woodsmoke

Palate: full-bodied and rich with lots of spices, hazelnuts and peat

Finish: stewed fruit with lingering notes of spicy cigarette ash
