The Old Particular Springbank 21 years old 1993 is a Campbeltown single malt bottled in the Old Particular series by the independent bottler Douglas Laing. A rare and special whisky because they’re not much older Springbank releases, especially not from independent bottlers. This one was distilled in 1993 and has matured in refill hogshead DL 10527. It was bottled in October 2014 at natural cask strength of 51,4% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. A limited single cask release of 223 bottles.
Nose: toffee, malt, light oak and espresso
Palate: sea, nuts, coffee, fruit and honey
Finish: long with notes of cough syrup, sweet barley, vanilla and liquorice
